Greg Hritzo PT, DPT, CHT

Physical Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist

About

Greg has specialized in hand therapy for more than 35 years. His passion for treating hand injuries began in college and led him to complete his Physical Therapy degree in 1990. Early in his career, Greg presented his Master’s Thesis at the 1991 National Hand Conference in Orlando, reflecting his long-standing commitment to advancing the field.

In 1996, Greg became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and has been practicing hand therapy in Arizona’s East Valley since 1995. His contributions extend beyond the clinic—he invented and published an original finger-bending splint in the Journal of Hand Therapy in 2001 and has previously served as an editor for the journal. Greg returned to school to further his education, earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007.

Greg has lived and worked in the East Valley for over 30 years, where he and his family have deep roots in the community. Outside of the clinic, he is an accomplished endurance athlete, having raced bicycles for 22 years and completed the Boston Marathon an impressive 13 consecutive times. He enjoys golf, yardwork, home projects, and spending time outdoors in Arizona.

Having experienced numerous sports-related injuries himself, Greg has also been a physical therapy patient. Now fully healed and active, he brings a unique perspective to his care—understanding firsthand the physical and emotional benefits of therapy. This personal experience, combined with decades of clinical expertise, allows Greg to connect deeply with his patients and guide them confidently through their recovery.
